Expected Outcome:
After one week of intensive operation, you will be able to
- installing GATE, and the educational GATE platform (EduGATE)
- design and set up your own simulation task,
- know how to handle each part of the toolkit,
- understand the special structure and nomenclature, and
- obtain raw data of imaging systems: specially for CT and (S)PET
Intended Participants:
Students at Master level
The activity is organised for students of all CHERNE partners
Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of the physics of interactions of radiation with matter and the principles of CT and (S)PET
Basic knowledge of EXCEL.
Number of Participants:
Max. 12
Time Schedule:
The IC is mainly focused on the practical use of the software tool.
Students should express their interest by the end of June 2016 and register not later than 15th July 2016.
Registered students will obtain a hand-outs of the intended experiments and some literature to prepare
